Sport for Every Child: From Participation to Elite Success
OBH nurtures sporting enjoyment, athletic drive, and talent at every level, securing 11 sports scholarships to senior schools in 2026. Pupils regularly compete and win at county, regional, and national levels across sports including rugby, hockey, netball, cricket, cross-country, swimming, and clay pigeon shooting—as well as tennis, where OBH was named LTA School of the Year 2024 for Suffolk. As a regional sporting hub, OBH hosts 16 major annual sports tournaments and regional festivals, welcoming visiting schools and clubs from across the region.
Creative Arts, Performance & Facilities
Creative expression is central to school life. Pupils perform in a fully equipped theatre venue with state-of-the-art lighting and sound, a sprung-floor dance studio, and a new composition suite opening in 2026/2027 dedicated to music production. A team of 13 specialist music, drama, dance, and public speaking teachers delivers over 200 individual weekly lessons to children of all ages—supporting vibrant orchestral, choral, and theatrical ensembles, dynamic dance troupes, and rock bands.
